Christopher POON
PT 2011
Christopher currently works in the Risk
management team of Allianz Global Investors,
focusing on Business Continuity Management and
Information Risk within the AP region. Prior to
his current role, he had spent over 7 years in
IT Infrastructure including system design and
implementation, project management and
consultation service. While in Toronto, he had
been a Program Host in Fairchild Radio
delivering feature news to the Chinese
community. Apart from MBA, Christopher holds a
Master of Science degree in Information
Technology from HKUST and a Bachelor of Pharmacy
degree from the University of Nottingham, UK.
As the President, Christopher will devote his
efforts towards connecting alumni and
strengthening the community. He would like to
explore and unleash the potential of our alumni
network.

Deputy President
Markus SEIDLER
FT 2010
Markus works as a
Senior Manager in the regional Investment Team
of AIA. His current focus is Investments in
Derivatives and Commodities. Prior to his MBA
education, he worked as the Head of Sales &
Trading Desk at Merit, a boutique Alternative
Investment expert in Austria, where he collected
experience with equity index, currency, and
commodity futures and options. Markus also holds
a Magister degree in Economics and Social
Science from the Vienna University of Economics
and Business. As deputy president of the 17th
Executive Committee, Markus will contribute to
transform the alumni community into a strong
platform for all alumni who are looking for
further career development and for business
related sharing opportunities.

Matthijs SCHOT
FT 2010
Matthijs currently works for A.P. Moeller-Maersk
A/S in Hong Kong as Maersk Line south China
Finance manager. Prior to his FT MBA he worked
for General Electric as Senior Financial
Analyst. Matthijs enjoys an active life style
with lots of
sports (running, swimming and cycling)
and social activities. In his roles as Secretary
General he hopes to contribute to the
development of the HKUST MBAAA enriching the
sense of belonging among alumni and increasing
the brand awareness of the HKUST MBA and its
graduates.

Cherry TSUI
PT 2011
Cherry is a part time MBA graduate of 2011 and
currently works as Partnership Development and
Marketing Manager at Cathay Pacific Airways.
She has extensive
and diverse experiences
in loyalty marketing, product development,
customer proposition development and business
analytics in aviation and service industries.
She enjoys travelling, photography
and exploring new and exciting activities.

Johny SEET
PT 2011
Johny works as a
Business Solution Analysis at Li&Fung (Trading)
Ltd and is a graduate from MBA/MSc Dual Degree
(Financial Analysis) class of 2011. He would
contribute to the MBAAA in arranging sports and
outdoor events for the purpose of physical
exercise, team building, and network building.
He believes a healthy and balanced lifestyle is
a prerequisite for any leader in today's fast
paced world. Johny is also a certified PADI
Scuba Diving Instructor; his other hobbies
include photography, hiking, and wakeboarding.

Eric YUNG
PT 2010
Eric is an entrepreneur and expert in the engineering, music and legal professions. He has founded and invested in various startup companies. He is one of the co-founders, former executive director and chief technology officer of Perception Digital, which is one of the companies under HKUST entrepreneur center and was listed in Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKGEM:08248) on December 2009. Eric has also served as senior management of various companies, including Philips Electronics, Tai Nam Group, etc. And, Eric is a professional musician. He has participated in various public performances, as pianist, artistic opera tenor or orchestra conductor.
Other than HKUST MBA, Eric has obtained bachelor degree and master of philosophy degree in electronic engineering, both from HKUST and bachelor degree in law from University of London.
With his strong connection with HKUST and experience in another HKUST alumni association as a founding president, Eric would like to help the MBA community to grow to another level and develop the alumni network so that MBA graduates can get help from other graduates and contribute to our Alma Mater.

Mandy CHAN
PT 2011
Mandy works in Hutchison's
container terminal with focus on customer
relationship and account management in South China
and Hong Kong. She had transformed from her
analysis-oriented background, with an M.Phil. degree
in Marketing, to a relationship-centered role in the
logistics field. As part of the MBAAA committee, she
would like to develop and enhance the alumni
network. She is dynamic and enjoys a wide variety of
interests including music, water sports,
snowboarding and has just picked up on golfing.

Jason CHEUNG

Jason is in the internal auditing profession and has been in this field for over ten years with HSBC, specializing in retail risk and technology risk management. In retrospect, Jason found himself never the same after the remarkable MBA journey, both as a person and as a professional. In the leisure time, Jason enjoys parenting and swimming. He also has immense interest in public speaking and leadership and he belongs to the Wayfoong Toastmasters Club.

Diana was a vice
president and deputy head of various international
financial institutions specializing in the area of
structured commodities finance. She obtained her
Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA and is a certified
public accountant (US). She
likes singing, hiking, tasting wine, golfing and
fishing.

Eddy
FONG

Eddy Fong is an Information Technology
professional with over ten years time of solid contribution to
the industry and extensive Asia Pacific regional experience. For
the past 6 years, Eddy's specialty is helping all kind of
enterprise customers to improve their IT performance to cope
with the ever-changing business environment. He graduated as a
part-time MBA student in 2011 from HKUST, and in his spare time,
he enjoys playing sports such as golfing, snowboarding, scuba
diving, thai boxing, playing football, etc.

Benno JAEGGI
FT 2006
Mr. Benno
Jaeggi works as a Regional Business Manager at
ANZ Bank where his focus is on
Strategy, Analysis and Business Execution across
Global Markets Asia-Pacific, Europe and
America. Prior to ANZ he held similar roles at
ABN Amro Bank and Royal Bank of Scotland
and used to be a consultant for Holcim, the
largest cement manufacturer in the world, where
he had the opportunity to manage projects in
more than 25 countries. Since his graduation
from the HKUST MBA in 2006, Benno is part of the
HKUST MBA Alumni Association Executive Commitee
and a member of the Alumni Advisory Board of the
HKUST MBA program. He holds Lic. Oec. HSG from
the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.

Jane LAM

Jane has been working as Regional Business Manager at various fashion houses with focus in distribution and wholesales for Asia Pacific region. She loves to travel to natural and cultural places and to taste the great foods wherever she is exploring. She is active in organizing social gatherings and events during her MBA, and she will further extend it into MBAAA to continue to serve the community that she loves to play with.

Thomas is a
member of the student association of class 2010.
He wants to create a bonding between current
students and alumni. He worked finance and
strategic planning roles in various industries
ranging from electronics to Coca Cola. His
hobbies are photography and drama acting. He was
once a show actor.

San Yut is a full-time MBA graduate of 2010. Raised across Asia and Europe, he has worked for HSBC, Gemalto and Schlumberger. His academic background is in Mechanics/Robotics.
